Fairview Health Services Launches New Services to Drive Healthier Workplaces

The health system aims to address health care costs, employee health
and productivity

is bringing its health care expertise directly to
employers through a new portfolio of workplace health and wellness
services. Developed in partnership with top local employers, Fairview
Employer Solutions aims to help organizations manage escalating health
care costs and improve their employees’ health and productivity.

“Demand is growing for access to care in new and convenient ways. We’re
thinking beyond our large network of hospitals and clinics about how we
can deliver health care directly to workplaces,” said Rene’
Coult-Calendine, Fairview’s vice president of market and product

directly from the source the kinds of services they want and how they
want them. Now we’re using that insight to help employers offer
in-demand, cost-effective services to their employees.”

virtual care platform, employee assistance programs, customized sleep
health services, and comprehensive one-day executive physicals through
University of Minnesota Health. Fairview plans to roll out additional
services to employers in the coming months.

Large employers expect to pay nearly $10,000 per employee for health
insurance benefits in 2018—a 5 percent increase over last year—according
to a study by National Business Group on Health. Recognizing that
addressing health care costs is a critical need, Fairview saw an
opportunity to leverage its own insights and experiences as both a large
employer and health care provider to help other employers.

Workplace health and wellness programs such as those offered through
Fairview Employer Solutions can also be a powerful tool in creating,
recruiting and retaining a more engaged and productive workforce—which
can further impact an employer’s bottom line.
