Life Spine Announces Continued Adoption and 40% Revenue Growth of PROLIFT® in the First Quarter of 2019

HUNTLEY, Ill.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Life Spine, a medical device company that designs, develops,
manufactures and markets products for the surgical treatment of spinal
disorders, announced today that the Company experienced significant
continued growth of the PROLIFT Expandable TLIF/PLIF System in the first
quarter of 2019 over the first quarter of 2018. PROLIFT saw sales growth
of 40% in the same period, driven by continued clinical review and full
adoption by Life Spine’s surgeon and hospital partners.

“The increasing clinical adoption of the PROLIFT system in the first
quarter of 2019 is a direct result of our commitment to be one of the
most innovative companies in the spinal health sector. Surgeons who have
been early adopters of the product have reported an almost 100%
continued adoption rate of this exciting technology among their
patients, as well as continued remarkable market acceptance of PROLIFT
from a growing number of surgeons using the technology for the first
time,” said Mariusz Knap, Vice President of Marketing and Business
Development. “We remain focused on elevating and building upon core
expandable technologies with the goal of reducing surgical procedure
time, reducing operating costs, and providing for better patient
outcomes. Our expandable technologies, such as PROLIFT, TiBOW®,
and LONGBOW®; will continue to drive our Micro-Invasive
Solutions into the future.”

PROLIFT, a titanium expandable posterior interbody solution features
post packing capability and our proprietary surface treatment,

anatomic disc height, and decompression of neural elements. Post packing
of the PROLIFT device is designed to allow for in-situ placement of bone
grafting material after final placement and expansion.

“Clinical use of any new technology must be driven by a true clinical
need. Through positive patient outcomes such as restoration of sagittal
balance, reduced anesthesia time and hospital stay length, new
technologies such as PROLIFT are fully adopted as an option for my
patients” noted Richard L. Weiner, MD, of the Dallas Neurosurgical &
Spine Associates in Dallas, Texas.
