Maverix Biomics brings together decades of experience and expertise in biologic research, bioinformatics, and enterprise application software development from many of today’s leading research institutions and technology companies. Created by biologists for life science researchers, the Maverix Analytic Platform integrated everything you need to analyze, visualize, explore and manage your NGS data in an easy-to-use system without the need for bioinformatics expertise or large-scale computing infrastructure.
Furthermore, the Maverix Dx Platform is born from the same strong capabilities of the Maverix Analytic Platform, but is targeted at NGS clinical diagnostic applications. The Maverix Dx Platform is designed to support clinical diagnostic applications where the sample collection and sequencing will be done in one or more geographically distributed CLIA lab environments, using Illumina or Ion Torrent sequencing devices. The analytic pipeline on the cloud-based Maverix Dx Platform combines existing open source-based applications (e.g. for quality control and generation of basic BAM files or VCF files) with customer-provided proprietary algorithms (typically to correlate data or generate the specific test results), and can be locked down in a regulatory-compliant environment (HIPAA, CLIA, and CAP). It is also designed to run automatically as high volumes of data are fed to it, and supports the necessary workflow for Lab Directors to sign off on test reports before they are released to clinicians.
