ProSpec (Protein-Specialists) provides proteins, services and technology license to a broad range of customers (academic research institutions, biotech and biopharma companies, hospitals, etc…). ProSpec’s proprietary protein purification technologies result in low production costs, high yield and high production efficiency, pure products and uncompromising biological activity. These technologies allow ProSpec to propose pure proteins at competitive prices (interleukins, interferons, tumor necrosis factors, bone morphogenic proteins, leptins, prolactins, stem cell factors, chemokines, peptides, antibodies, enzymes, viral antigens, growth factors, etc…). ProSpec’s research team has been able to produce more than 1700 recombinant proteins, peptides and antibodies. The proteins are rigorously tested to meet the excellent quality needed for research, thus providing uncompromising biological activity at competitive prices.

ProSpec also provides custom in-house services for recombinant proteins expression and production. ProSpec’s Protein services are priced according to the optimization work needed and the total amount required. ProSpec’s purified proteins exceed 90% purity as detected by SDS-PAGE analysis. Furthermore, ProSpec also proposes monoclonal antibodies production. Monoclonal antibodies are produced in hybridoma cell lines derived from the fusion of myeloma cells and antibody-producing B-lymphocytes. ProSpec guarantees two positive clones for monoclonal antibodies developed in mouse. And for any protein antigens, if the customer can provide at least 2.5mg of protein with at least 80% purity in SDS-PAGE, thus ProSpec guarantees two positive clones or more with positive ELISA results. ProSpec also offers DNA cloning services (including vector containing target gene, complete sequencing data and construct maps) as well as fermentation services using a 250-liter or 1000-liter New Brunswick Scientific fermentors equipped with Temperature, pH and oxygen sensors (both IPTG and heat induction can be used).

ProSpec was founded by Tanchum Amarant and is now located at the Rehovot Science Park in Ness-Ziona (Israel) and in East Brunswick (USA).
