AARS 2015 – International symposium on aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases

aars 2015

The focus of the meeting is on the evolution, structure, function and biotechnology of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases (ARS), and their canonical and non-canonical roles in health and disease. The ARS Symposium takes place every two years with the goal of promoting the interactions within the ARS research laboratories and with the rest of RNA research community, both in research labs and in industry. The AARS 2015 conference will be held in Barcelona (Spain) , from the 18th to the 22nd of October.

A unique feature of the AARS 2015 meeting is the celebration of an “advanced omics” workshop. The goal of this workshop is to strengthen the connections between the ARS community and laboratories developing state of the art analytical techniques for the study of protein synthesis in the context of the whole eukaryotic cell.

Organizing Committee is composed by Karin Musier-Forsyth and Lluís Ribas de Pouplana. Scientific Committee is composed by Ignacio Luque, Leslie Nangle, Magali Frugier, Christopher Francklyn, Hiroaki Suga, Michael Ibba, Min Guo, Sung-Hoon Kim, Susan A. Martinis and Xianglei Yang. Keynote speakers of the AARS 2015 symposium are D. Söll, M. Hentze, N. Ban, P. Schimmel, Dr. Adélaïde Saint-Léger and S. Ackerman.
