DDI-Predictor – predict drug drug interactions mediated by cytochromes
DDI-Predictor is an online tool to predict drug drug interactions mediated by cytochromes. Very useful when developing a new chemical entity (after Phase I), our in-vivo static mechanistic model is capable of measuring the impact of drug drug interactions, with or without polymorphism of CYPs and with or without cirrhosis as well as drug clearance and drug interactions in the paediatric population. DDI-Predictor calculations are based on static equations of physiologically-based pharmacokinetic models and uses similar equations to those described in the FDA guidelines for assessment of drug-drug interactions. Unlike the PBPK approach, which is quite cumbersome, lengthy and requires a high level of expertise to produce meaningful information, DDI-Predictor delivers simple information (AUC ratios, CRs and IRs…), instantly. However, it cannot be used at the preclinical stage. Hence the two approaches are complementary. Furthermore, the methodology behind all the modules of DDI Predictor has been published in peer-reviewed journals (Clinical Pharmacokinetics, AAPS Journal, Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics). Additionally, because security and privacy are important end legitimate concerns for our clients, we do not store any of the data submitted in via our app, and let the user full control on both the inputs and the results generated by offering a simple download package. Finally, we offer a number of medias to provide general help using the service and our team of trained scientists provide personalised support to answer the most technical questions, while on-demand training sessions can be arranged as well.
