Swisslog Healthcare Introduces VTO Program for Employees
Workforce encouraged to volunteer within their community in exchange for time off
BROOMFIELD, Colo.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Swisslog Healthcare, a global industry leader in pharmacy and transport automation solutions, has launched a Volunteer Time Off (VTO) Program, encouraging employees nationwide to choose charities they are passionate about and volunteer their time in return for paid time off from work. Taking in employee feedback about the desire to engage in volunteer activities within their own local communities, the Swisslog Healthcare leadership team established a formal volunteer program to help their employees take action.
Melody Watkins, Executive Assistant to the CEO of Swisslog Healthcare, helped to develop this comprehensive VTO Program which empowers employees across the continent to volunteer to assist organizations within their immediate communities.
“The overarching goal of the VTO Program is for our team to work together to help those less fortunate across all of the areas where our employees work, reflecting Swisslog Healthcare’s core values of collaboration and commitment,” remarked Melody Watkins, Executive Assistant to the CEO of Swisslog Healthcare. “Our colleagues asked for an opportunity to give back and I am proud to say we are able to provide it. We anticipate a high level of participation that will make a meaningful and positive impact.”
The VTO Program offers our teams unique team building opportunities when whole or partial departments within Swisslog Healthcare can coordinate group volunteer efforts. This collaborative approach will enhance camaraderie within the organization and amplify our capacity to create change across the United States and Canada.
“The VTO Program reflects our dedication to the community at large and serves as a testament to the generosity and goodwill of our team members,” said Cory Kwarta, CEO of Swisslog Healthcare. “I applaud our workforce for stepping up and advocating for our teams to make a difference.”
All Swisslog Healthcare employees in North America will receive one fully paid day off of work to dedicate to volunteer activities within their local community. For more information about benefits and careers at Swisslog Healthcare, visit https://www.swisslog-healthcare.com/en-us/careers.
