Allschwil, Switzerland – February 26, 2026
Idorsia Ltd (SIX: IDIA) announces strong financial and operational results for the full year 2025, setting a new base for further growth ahead and a catalyst rich 2026.

Srishti Gupta, MD, Chief Executive Officer of Idorsia, commented: “2025 marked a year of disciplined execution and renewed momentum for Idorsia. We delivered on our upgraded guidance, more than doubled QUVIVIQ sales, and significantly strengthened our financial position – demonstrating that focused investment and commercial excellence can go hand in hand. At the same time, we continued the next phase of growth: positioning TRYVIO/JERAYGO as the first treatment to target a new pathway in hypertension in decades and progressing our pipeline, including the upcoming readout of the pediatric insomnia study and the registrational program for lucerastat in Fabry disease. With multiple catalysts ahead, we enter 2026 with clarity, confidence, and a clear path toward sustainable growth.”

QUVIVIQ® (daridorexant)

  • Global 2025 net sales grow to CHF 134 million, reflecting outstanding year-over-year momentum – with continued strong growth ahead.
  • QUVIVIQ continues to reshape the insomnia treatment landscape, and we are investing to accelerate its trajectory toward blockbuster status. Growth will be driven by expanded global reach through partnerships targeting general practitioners, strategic commercial alliances, additional public reimbursement wins, potential U.S. descheduling, adoption of innovative digital and distribution models, and the initiation of a U.S. label-enhancing study focused on daytime functioning.
  • New opportunity to transform the treatment paradigm in pediatric insomnia with results expected in Q2 2026 from the Phase 2 study for daridorexant – the only dual orexin receptor antagonist in development for this population with high unmet need.

TRYVIO™ / JERAYGO™ (aprocitentan)

  • TRYVIO is available in the US and used in the top 25 hypertension centers.
  • Robust on-market experience among leading experts indicates “PRECISION-like” double-digit blood pressure reductions and confirms the tolerability profile across diverse patient groups.
  • Regulatory success in 2025 – JERAYGO is approved in EU, UK, Switzerland, and Canada.
  • Partnering discussions to maximize the global value of TRYVIO/JERAYGO are progressing.

Research & Development

  • Alignment with the FDA on the registrational program for lucerastat, positioning Idorsia to advance the first oral therapy intended for all patients with Fabry disease.
  • Advancing Idorsia’s immunology portfolio of first-in-class compounds – starting with Idorsia’s CCR6 antagonist proof-of-concept in psoriasis (proof-of-mechanism for other CCR6- and Th17-associated autoimmune diseases).
  • Clinical validation for Idorsia’s revolutionary drug-like synthetic glycan vaccine technology.

Net revenue of CHF 221 million in 2025 resulted from product sales (CHF 134 million), product sales to partners (CHF 7 million), and contract revenues (CHF 79 million). This compares to net revenue of CHF 113 million in 2024 as a result of QUVIVIQ product sales (CHF 61 million), product sales to partners (CHF 47 million), and contract revenue (CHF 5 million).

US GAAP operating expenses of CHF 268 million in 2025 and CHF 351 million in 2024 were impacted by a one-off gain of CHF 90 million (Viatris deal amendment) in 2025 and CHF 125 million (Viatris deal) in 2024, respectively. Excluding these one-off gains, US GAAP operating expenses for 2025 decreased by CHF 83 million, mainly driven by R&D expenses of CHF 102 million decreasing by CHF 42 million compared to 2024 (CHF 144 million), and SG&A expenses of CHF 221 million decreasing by CHF 52 million compared to 2024 (CHF 273 million).

US GAAP net loss in 2025 amounted to CHF 112 million compared to CHF 264 million (net loss) in 2024. The reduced net loss in 2025 was primarily driven by revenue growth and lower operating expenses as a result of an operational restructuring initiated in Q4 2024.

The US GAAP net loss resulted in a net loss per share of CHF 0.52 (basic and diluted) in 2025, compared to a net loss per share of CHF 1.45 (basic and diluted) in 2024.

InnoCare Announces Key Developments of Critical Clinical Studies

InnoCare Announces Key Developments of Critical Clinical Studies

InnoCare Announces Key Developments of Critical Clinical Studies

BEIJING, Feb. 26, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — InnoCare Pharma (HKEX: 09969), a leading biopharmaceutical company focusing on the treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases, announced today key clinical development progress, including the completion of patient enrollment of multiple Phase III registrational trials.

The Company completed patient enrollment of a Phase III registrational clinical trial of BCL2 inhibitor mesutoclax (ICP-248) in combination with BTK inhibitor orelabrutinib for treatment-naïve chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL) patients.

Mesutoclax is a novel, highly selective oral BCL2 inhibitor. BCL2 is an important regulatory protein in the apoptosis pathway, and its abnormal expression is associated with the development of various hematologic malignancies. Mesutoclax exerts anti-tumor activity by selectively inhibiting BCL2 and restoring the normal apoptosis process in cancer cells. The fixed-duration treatment of mesutoclax in combination with orelabrutinib will provide deeper remission for treatment-naïve CLL/SLL patients without drug-resistant mutations, bringing hope of clinical cure to treatment-naïve CLL/SLL patients.

In addition, InnoCare also accelerated the clinical development of two novel TYK2 inhibitors. The company has completed patient enrollment in the Phase III registrational trial of soficitinib (ICP-332) for the moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (AD) and in the Phase III registrational trial of ICP-488 for the treatment of psoriasis recently.

These important milestones mark a crucial step forward in addressing the huge unmet needs in AD with soficitinib and in psoriasis with ICP-488.

Meanwhile, InnoCare has also completed patient enrollment in the Phase II clinical trial of soficitinib for the treatment of vitiligo.

Soficitinib is a potent and selective TYK2 inhibitor that is being developed for the treatment of various T-cell related autoimmune disorders. The current indications under development are strategically positioned within the vast dermatology market, including AD, vitiligo, prurigo nodularis, CSU, and psoriasis.

ICP-488 is an oral, potent, and selective TYK2 allosteric inhibitor. By binding to the JH2 domain, ICP-488 blocks the signal transduction pathways of IL-23, IL-12, type 1 IFN, and other inflammatory cytokines, thereby inhibiting the pathological processes of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.

About InnoCare

InnoCare is a commercial stage biopharmaceutical company committed to discovering, developing, and commercializing first-in-class and/or best-in-class drugs for the treatment of cancers and autoimmune diseases with unmet medical needs in China and worldwide. InnoCare has branches in Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and the United States.

MindRank Announces First Patient Dosed in Phase III Trial of AI-Designed Oral GLP-1 Receptor Agonist MDR-001

SHANGHAI, China, Feb. 25, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — MindRank, a clinical-stage artificial intelligence (AI)-empowered drug discovery company, today announced that the first patient has been dosed in the Phase III clinical trial of MDR-001, its AI-designed oral small-molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes in China.

The Phase III study, MOBILE, is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial evaluating the long-term efficacy and safety of MDR-001 in approximately 750 patients across 50 clinical centers in China. The study is led by Professor Linong Ji of Peking University People’s Hospital.

MDR-001 is a biased, selective oral GLP-1 receptor agonist discovered and optimized using MindRank’s proprietary AI-enabled drug discovery platform. In a completed Phase IIb trial, MDR-001 demonstrated clinically meaningful efficacy, favorable tolerability, and improvements in cardiometabolic parameters, supporting its potential as a best-in-class therapy.

The molecule was identified using MindRank’s proprietary AI platform – Molecule Pro™, which is an end-to-end drug discovery platform to facilitate lead optimization across critical parameters. The program progressed from project initiation to U.S. IND clearance in 19 months and advanced to Phase III within approximately 4.5 years.

image1.png

“Dosing the first patient in Phase III represents a major milestone for MDR-001 and for AI-enabled drug development,” said Zhangming Niu, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MindRank. “We believe MDR-001 demonstrates how AI-driven discovery can accelerate innovation and deliver differentiated therapies to patients.”

About MDR-001
MDR-001 was developed by MindRank’s expert team utilizing the PharmKG™ biological knowledge graph to integrate vast amounts of literature and biological pathway analysis. By leveraging Molecule Dance™ for protein dynamic simulation modeling and biological validation iterations, the team deeply analyzed the GPCR protein-small molecule binding conformation and signal transduction mechanisms. This allowed for the quantification of specific biological pathway activities, including cAMP agonism and biased β-arrestin 2 recruitment, guiding the design of a highly selective GLP-1RA small molecule. The Molecule Pro™ platform’s generative AI and ADMET prediction modules, combined with wet-lab iterative feedback, enabled systematic prediction and optimization of the candidate’s structural druggability and safety.

About Molecule Pro™
Molecule Pro™ is MindRank’s proprietary AI-driven drug discovery platform. It deeply integrates expertise in artificial intelligence, computational chemistry, chemistry, biology, and medicine, driven by deep learning, generative AI, and large language models. The platform integrates nearly one hundred original algorithmic models, with core modules such as Large Language Model Knowledge Graphs and ADMET prediction reaching international leading standards. Molecule Pro™ focuses on “undruggable” targets, utilizing multi-objective optimization strategies to synergistically balance activity, selectivity, pharmacokinetics, and safety. By introducing prediction mechanisms for toxicity and off-target risks to avoid groups capable of causing adverse reactions (such as structural fragments leading to liver injury), the platform precisely designs and optimizes molecules, systematically improving the efficiency and success rate of drug development.

About MindRank
MindRank is an AI-driven biotechnology company dedicated to accelerating the implementation of “AI for Science” in drug discovery and leading paradigm shifts. Relying on an AI platform that deeply integrates biology, structural biology, chemistry, and medicine, the company focuses on tackling “hard-to-drug” targets to improve the efficiency and success rate of new drug development, aiming to provide global patients with innovative therapies offering greater clinical benefits.

An Independent Informational Overview Examining Sprout Health’s Compounded GLP-1 Telehealth Model, Semaglutide and Tirzepatide Program Costs, FDA Regulatory Classification, and Consumer Verification Considerations for 2026

Encinitas, CA, Feb. 25, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Disclaimer: This article is for informational purposes only. It is not medical advice. Weight management concerns should be evaluated by a qualified healthcare professional. Compounded GLP-1 medications are prescription medications that require evaluation by a licensed clinician. Prescription approval is not guaranteed. If you purchase through links in this article, a commission may be earned at no additional cost to you.

As interest in prescription GLP-1 weight loss treatment through telehealth platforms continues to expand in 2026, consumers researching compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide options encounter a rapidly shifting regulatory landscape. One platform that comes up frequently in that research process is Sprout Health GLP-1 Weight Loss — a telehealth service operated by Sprout Health Partners LLC that connects consumers with licensed clinicians and partner compounding pharmacies.

Sprout Health GLP-1 Weight Loss in 2026 — Compounded Semaglutide Pricing, FDA Status, and What To Know Before Starting a Telehealth GLP-1 Program

Before starting any compounded GLP-1 telehealth program, there are regulatory, clinical, and platform-level details worth understanding clearly. This article covers those details — not as a recommendation, but as the kind of informed overview that helps consumers ask the right questions and verify the right information before making a decision that involves their health.

A previously released industry analysis examining compounded GLP-1 telehealth access and pricing transparency provided an initial framework for evaluating platforms in this category. This article builds on that foundation with updated regulatory context and a focused informational overview of the Sprout Health platform specifically.

This article is independently prepared based on publicly available information and does not represent official statements issued by Sprout Health Partners LLC.

Consumers can review the company’s disclosures directly and view the current Sprout Health offer (official Sprout Health page) for the most up-to-date program details.

What This Product Is: Regulatory Classification First

This is the most important starting point, and it warrants careful reading regardless of which compounded GLP-1 product or telehealth platform may be under consideration.

Sprout Health GLP-1 Weight Loss is a telehealth platform — not a healthcare provider, pharmacy, or drug manufacturer — that connects consumers with independent licensed clinicians and partner compounding pharmacies for potential access to compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide medications.

Based on publicly available disclosures on the company’s website, Sprout Health Partners LLC operates the technology platform at joinsprouthealth.com. The platform provides the intake process, customer support, subscription management, and coordination between patients, providers, and pharmacies. The platform itself does not prescribe medications or make clinical decisions.

Here is the key classification distinction: compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide are not FDA-approved finished products. They have not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality as finished formulations. These compounded medications are not generic versions of FDA-approved branded medications such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound, or Mounjaro. Compounded drugs are prepared by pharmacies based on individual prescriptions.

What Compounded GLP-1 Medication Means Under FDA Framework

If you are researching compounded GLP-1 treatments for the first time, you probably have questions about what “compounded” actually means in a regulatory context. Here is the straightforward explanation.

Pharmacy compounding is the practice of creating customized medications tailored to individual patient needs. Compounding pharmacies operate under federal and state regulations, and the practice is overseen by state pharmacy boards. Compounded medications are legally prescribed and dispensed in the United States when prepared by licensed pharmacies under the direction of a licensed prescriber.

The regulatory difference from FDA-approved drugs is specific: FDA-approved medications such as Wegovy and Ozempic undergo clinical trials evaluating the finished product’s safety and efficacy as a complete formulation. Compounded medications use active pharmaceutical ingredients but are not required to undergo separate clinical trials for the specific compounded version.

This distinction has become particularly significant in early 2026. According to public FDA communications, the semaglutide drug shortage has been officially resolved as of February 2026. Under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, compounding pharmacies are generally prohibited from producing drugs that are essentially copies of commercially available FDA-approved products. An exception existed during the period when semaglutide appeared on the FDA drug shortage list. With the shortage resolved, that exception has narrowed significantly.

According to public FDA communications updated in early 2026, the agency has stated it intends to prioritize enforcement against certain mass-marketed non-FDA-approved GLP-1 products. The FDA has distinguished between mass-marketed compounded products and patient-specific compounding performed under Section 503A of the FD&C Act, which may remain permissible in narrow circumstances where a patient’s medical needs cannot be met by an FDA-approved drug.

This does not mean compounded medications are categorically unavailable. It means the regulatory pathway is narrower than it was in prior years, and consumers should be aware of that shift when making informed decisions about their treatment options.

How the Telehealth Structure Works: Platform, Clinician, and Pharmacy

One of the most common points of confusion with telehealth prescription services is understanding who actually does what. With Sprout Health — and with most telehealth prescription platforms — there are three separate entities involved, and knowing the distinction between them matters more than most people realize.

Sprout Health Partners LLC operates as the telehealth platform. According to the company’s terms of use, Sprout Health itself is not a healthcare provider. The platform provides the technology infrastructure, customer service, subscription management, and coordination that facilitates the telehealth experience. Sprout Health does not diagnose conditions, write prescriptions, or make clinical treatment decisions.

Licensed Medical Providers are independent healthcare professionals who review patient-submitted medical information and independently determine whether a prescription is clinically appropriate. The company states that these clinicians operate through MD Integrations (MDI), a physician network. In certain states, synchronous telehealth visits are required by state law. According to the company’s disclosures, MDI doctors provide synchronous visits in AR, CO, ID, IL, IN, MD, MO, MT, NE, NY, OK, SD, VT, VA, and WI. The platform cannot guarantee that any individual will receive a prescription — that determination rests entirely with the evaluating clinician.

Licensed Partner Pharmacies compound and dispense medications based on prescriptions written by the independent medical providers. According to the company’s terms and conditions, Sprout Health partners with Foothills Pharmacy and Promise Pharmacy. According to publicly available third-party listings, Sprout Health holds LegitScript certification, which involves verification of legal compliance, provider credentials, and medication sourcing practices.

This three-entity structure — platform, prescriber, pharmacy — is standard across telehealth prescription services. It exists to maintain appropriate separation between technology facilitation, clinical judgment, and pharmaceutical dispensing.

How the Enrollment Process Works

According to the company’s website, the telehealth access model operates through a structured multi-step process.

The platform begins with an online pre-qualification assessment that evaluates basic eligibility criteria. Following pre-qualification and plan purchase, consumers complete a detailed medical questionnaire. An independent licensed clinician reviews the questionnaire and determines whether prescribing compounded GLP-1 medication is clinically appropriate.

If a prescription is issued, the medication is prepared by one of Sprout Health’s partner compounding pharmacies and shipped to the consumer. The company states that the process from prescription to delivery typically takes five to seven business days.

According to the company’s Patient Services and Transparency section, services are available in the United States except: AL, AR, MS, LA, CA, and ND. Consumers should verify current state eligibility directly with the platform, as telehealth regulations may change.

What the Program Contains

According to the company’s website, Sprout Health’s weight loss program provides access to compounded semaglutide or compounded tirzepatide medications. Clinicians may prescribe compounded GLP-1 medications in different formulations when clinically appropriate. Consumers should confirm the specific formulation available for their state and prescription directly with the prescribing provider.

Semaglutide and tirzepatide are GLP-1 receptor agonists — a class of medications that act on natural hormone pathways in the body. Some formulations also act on the GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) pathway. Clinical research on the FDA-approved branded versions of these active ingredients includes the STEP-1 trial, which demonstrated mean weight reduction of approximately 14.9% with semaglutide over 68 weeks, and the SURMOUNT-1 trial, which showed tirzepatide achieving 16–22.5% weight reduction over 72 weeks.

Important research boundary: These clinical trial results were achieved with FDA-approved branded medications studied under controlled conditions with specific manufacturing processes, quality controls, and dosing protocols. These figures should not be interpreted as expected outcomes for compounded products, which have not undergone equivalent clinical trials and have not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality as finished products.

The program also includes evaluations by a licensed medical provider, follow-up appointments, messaging access to a licensed clinician, and a four-week supply of medication with each monthly subscription. According to the company, treatment is positioned as part of a broader lifestyle approach that may include dietary and exercise guidance.

Delivery and Usage Details

According to the company’s website, once a prescription is issued, it is sent to the partner pharmacy within two business days of the patient completing the required medical form. The company states that orders are typically delivered within three to five business days after prescription approval and processing.

Because Sprout Health notes that some injectable medications may require refrigeration, consumers evaluating any shipped injectable medication may consider confirming storage and transit handling details with the dispensing pharmacy and prescribing clinician, especially if there are questions about temperature control during shipment.

Monthly subscribers receive a refill intake questionnaire after completing their third dose in a given cycle. A clinician reviews the refill intake before issuing a subsequent prescription. Dosage adjustments are determined by the assigned licensed clinician based on clinical assessment. Individual results with any GLP-1 medication may vary depending on factors including adherence to the prescribed treatment plan, individual metabolic response, lifestyle factors, dietary habits, and exercise patterns.

Pricing Disclosures

According to the company’s website at the time of this article:

Compounded Semaglutide is listed at $249 per month. Compounded Tirzepatide is listed at $299 per month. The company states that these prices include evaluations by a licensed medical provider, follow-up appointments, messaging access to a licensed clinician, a four-week supply of medication, and shipping.

The company states that the initial subscription price is honored for the duration of the subscription, even if dosage increases require additional medication in subsequent months. Sprout Health operates on a month-to-month subscription basis with no minimum contracts. Pricing, terms, and promotional offers are subject to change. Always verify current pricing directly on the official website before beginning treatment discussions.

Insurance and payment context: According to the company’s website, Sprout Health does not accept or bill insurance and accepts most forms of online payment. According to the company’s cancellation policy, orders may be canceled for a full refund before medication is processed by the partner pharmacy. Once a prescription is processed and sent to the pharmacy, refunds are not available.

Safety, Risks, and Limitations

Publicly available medical literature indicates that GLP-1 receptor agonists may be associated with side effects including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, and reduced appetite. Less common but more serious reactions have also been reported, including pancreatitis, gallbladder issues, kidney problems, and severe gastrointestinal symptoms.

Prescribing information for GLP-1 receptor agonists indicates that these medications should not be used by individuals with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).

Compounded medication-specific risks include potential variability in formulation, dosing errors associated with self-administration, and quality concerns that the FDA has identified as distinct from risks associated with FDA-approved products. The FDA has received reports of adverse events, some requiring hospitalization, that may be related to dosing errors with compounded injectable semaglutide products.

Telehealth limitations also apply to this model. A telehealth evaluation may not capture all relevant clinical information that would be available in an in-person examination. Consumers with complex medical histories, multiple medications, or significant comorbidities should discuss GLP-1 therapy with their primary care provider or specialist in addition to any telehealth evaluation. Compounded GLP-1 medications are not FDA-approved as finished products and have not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality as finished formulations. Any decision to prescribe, dose, or continue therapy is made by the licensed clinician based on the patient’s medical profile.

What Consumers Commonly Verify

Consumers conducting due diligence on telehealth GLP-1 platforms often review the following verification categories before enrolling:

Business registration and entity verification: Sprout Health Partners LLC is the registered business entity, according to the company’s terms and conditions. The company’s terms identify Michigan as the governing law jurisdiction.

Clinician licensing and oversight: The company states that all prescribing clinicians are licensed medical providers operating through the MD Integrations physician network. Consumers may verify individual provider credentials through their state medical board.

Pharmacy licensing and certification: The company identifies Foothills Pharmacy and Promise Pharmacy as partner compounding pharmacies. LegitScript certification status can be verified through publicly available third-party listings.

Terms, refund policies, and subscription structure: The company’s refund policy states that prescription medications are non-refundable once processed by the partner pharmacy. Consumers are encouraged to review the complete terms and conditions before purchase.

Regulatory compliance status: Given the evolving regulatory landscape for compounded GLP-1 medications in 2026, consumers may wish to verify how the platform’s compounding model aligns with current FDA guidance and state pharmacy board regulations.

How This Category Compares to Other Access Models

Consumers exploring GLP-1 weight loss options in 2026 generally encounter three distinct access models, each with different regulatory status, cost structures, and clinical considerations.

FDA-approved branded medications through traditional healthcare: Products such as Wegovy, Ozempic, Zepbound, and Mounjaro have undergone comprehensive FDA review for safety, efficacy, and manufacturing quality. These carry specific FDA-approved indications and extensive clinical trial data. They are typically accessed through in-person or telehealth prescriber visits and filled at retail pharmacies. Costs may exceed $1,000 per month without insurance coverage.

Compounded GLP-1 medications through telehealth platforms: These platforms facilitate access to compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved as finished products. This model generally offers lower pricing but carries distinct regulatory and quality considerations.

In-person clinical weight management programs: These programs may combine FDA-approved GLP-1 prescriptions with comprehensive clinical oversight, nutritional counseling, and ongoing monitoring. They typically involve higher costs and require in-person visits but may provide a more thorough clinical evaluation.

No specific platform or model is presented as superior. Each carries distinct trade-offs in cost, convenience, regulatory status, and level of clinical oversight.

Evidence Boundaries

Consumers should understand the distinction between ingredient-level evidence and product-level evidence when evaluating any compounded GLP-1 offering.

Ingredient-level evidence exists for the active pharmaceutical ingredients semaglutide and tirzepatide. Clinical trials, including the STEP and SURMOUNT trial programs, have demonstrated significant weight reduction with FDA-approved branded formulations of these ingredients under controlled conditions.

Product-level evidence does not exist for compounded versions of these medications as prepared by compounding pharmacies. Compounded products have not undergone independent clinical trials establishing their safety, efficacy, or bioequivalence to the FDA-approved branded versions. The clinical outcomes observed in branded product trials cannot be assumed to apply identically to compounded formulations, which may differ in manufacturing processes, quality controls, excipients, and stability profiles.

Summary of Key Considerations

Sprout Health GLP-1 Weight Loss operates as a telehealth platform connecting consumers with licensed clinicians and partner compounding pharmacies for potential access to compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide medications. The platform is operated by Sprout Health Partners LLC.

Key considerations for consumers evaluating this platform include the non-FDA-approved status of compounded GLP-1 medications as finished products, the evolving regulatory environment in 2026 with increased FDA enforcement focus on compounded GLP-1 products, the platform’s pricing of $249 per month for compounded semaglutide and $299 per month for compounded tirzepatide, and the month-to-month subscription structure with no contracts.

Additional factors include the evidence boundary between clinical trial data on branded products and the absence of equivalent data on compounded formulations. Consumers are encouraged to consult with a licensed healthcare provider, review the platform’s terms and disclosures directly, and independently verify regulatory compliance status before making healthcare decisions.

Consumers interested in reviewing the platform’s current terms can view the current Sprout Health offer (official Sprout Health page) for the latest program and pricing information.

What MEDVi Tirzepatide GLP-1 Weight Loss Is (Classification First)

At its core, MEDVi is a telehealth patient management platform — not a doctor’s office and not a pharmacy. It facilitates access to compounded GLP-1 receptor agonist medications, including tirzepatide formulations, for weight management purposes. According to the company’s publicly available disclosures, MEDVi, LLC is a Delaware corporation headquartered at 131 Continental Dr, Ste 305, Newark, DE 19713.

Understanding who does what in this model matters, because three separate entities are involved. MEDVi itself operates as the technology and administrative platform — think of it as the front door. Healthcare services, including medical evaluations and the actual prescribing decisions, are provided by independent licensed clinicians through affiliated professional entities. At the time of this writing, the company identifies these affiliates on its website as OpenLoop Health and CareGLP Affiliated P.C.s. Prescription fulfillment is then handled by separate partnered pharmacies that the company describes as USA-certified facilities.

Why does this separation matter to you? Because MEDVi does not directly provide medical or pharmacy services. The company explicitly states that payment does not guarantee the writing or dispensing of a prescription. The clinician who reviews your case makes that call independently, based on their own medical judgment.

Regulatory Framework for Compounded Tirzepatide

The regulatory classification of the medications in this program is an important consideration for prospective participants.

According to the company’s disclosures, the compounded GLP-1 medications available through MEDVi are produced in facilities that operate under applicable federal and state compounding regulations. However, the company clearly states that while these facilities are subject to regulatory oversight, the compounded medications themselves are not FDA-approved and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality as finished products.

Here is why that distinction is significant. FDA-approved tirzepatide products — the branded medications manufactured by their original pharmaceutical developer — go through extensive clinical trial processes and ongoing post-market surveillance. Compounded versions, while produced under regulatory oversight, follow a different pathway entirely. The decision to prescribe a compounded medication rests with the licensed provider’s independent medical judgment, informed by a telehealth consultation and a review of your medical history.

The company encourages prospective users to discuss the specific risks and benefits of compounded medications with their provider. MEDVi also discloses that it does not produce compounded medications directly, and that the medication you receive may look different from what is shown on the company’s website.

How the MEDVi Telehealth Model Works

If you are wondering what the actual process looks like from start to finish, here is how the MEDVi platform is structured based on publicly available information from their website.

It starts with an online health assessment that you complete through the MEDVi site. This is essentially a screening questionnaire, and completing it does not create a doctor-patient relationship between the individual and MEDVi. The company’s affiliated medical network has established exclusionary criteria that determine whether you move forward or are screened out of eligibility based on your responses.

If you pass the initial screening, a licensed clinician from the affiliated provider network conducts a consultation with you after checkout to make an independent determination about whether a prescription is appropriate for your situation. The company states that these clinicians retain sole decision-making authority over whether to prescribe compounded GLP-1 medications. In other words, a real licensed provider reviews your case — and they can say no.

If a prescription is issued, the medication is dispensed by a partnered pharmacy and shipped directly to your door. All prescription medications are dispensed according to state and federal law with the approval of the pharmacist in charge.

What the MEDVi Tirzepatide Program Includes

Beyond the medication itself, the MEDVi program bundles several components into its pricing. According to the company’s publicly listed program details, enrollment covers a physician review, a personalized care plan, one-on-one guidance, a metabolic report, and the cost of the prescription medication with shipping included.

The platform lists both injectable and oral GLP-1 formulations. Injectable options are described as once-weekly injections, while oral options are described as daily dissolvable tablets. Consumers considering enrollment may confirm the exact formulation details — including the specific active ingredients and concentrations — with the prescribing clinician and the dispensing pharmacy directly.

The company also describes unlimited 24/7 support as part of the program, including access to specialists, unlimited appointments, messaging, and ongoing clinical support. These are the company’s stated service commitments, and as with any service offering, your individual experience may vary depending on program participation and clinician availability.

Delivery, Usage, and Outcome Expectations

Once prescribed, your medication is shipped directly to the address you provide from the partnered pharmacy. The company states that shipping is free and expedited. Per the company’s shipping terms, medication is considered dispensed when it is signed out for shipping — not when it arrives at your door.

When it comes to what you might expect, the company’s disclosures indicate that patients on the program typically experience weight loss in the range of 1 to 2 pounds per week after the first four weeks, when combined with a healthy diet and exercise modifications. These figures come with important context — they are based on self-reported data from patients who also made dietary changes and increased their physical activity.

Here is the bottom line on outcomes: Results from compounded medications may vary and are influenced by your adherence to the program, your clinician’s recommendations, your starting weight, and your individual physiology. The company’s own disclosures are clear that their reported outcomes come from self-reported patient data collected through intake questionnaires every three to four weeks — not from independent clinical trials of the compounded formulations. No specific weight loss result is guaranteed.

Pricing Disclosures

Understanding exactly what you are paying — and what you are agreeing to — is essential before enrolling. Here is what the company publicly lists at the time of this article’s preparation.

The MEDVi program for compounded GLP-1 injections starts at $179 for the first month. Refills are listed at $299 per month. Oral GLP-1 tablet options start at $249 per month. The company also lists branded Ozempic injection access starting at $1,999 per month, with a note that quantities are limited and availability is subject to change.

According to the company, the listed pricing includes medication, physician review, care plan, and shipping. The company also states that HSA and FSA payment methods are accepted. That said, pricing is subject to change at the company’s discretion, and the final charge may fluctuate depending on the prescribed medication and the pharmacy selected for fulfillment.

Two additional disclosures are relevant. First, the company discloses that all programs are auto-renewing, meaning consumers will be automatically charged for ongoing enrollment unless they explicitly request cancellation before payment processes. Second, all affiliated medical providers operate on an out-of-network basis — they are not contracted with any health insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance. You are solely responsible for all fees.

Safety, Risks, and Limitations

Every medical decision carries potential risks, and a compounded GLP-1 telehealth program is no exception. Here are the key safety considerations you should evaluate before enrolling.

As covered in the regulatory section above, compounded GLP-1 medications are not FDA-approved finished products. They have not been independently evaluated for safety, efficacy, or quality by the FDA as finished drugs. The prescribing decision is based entirely on the individual clinician’s medical judgment.

The company’s telehealth consent disclosures also identify risks specific to the remote care model itself. These include rare instances where transmitted information may not be sufficient for appropriate medical decision-making, potential delays due to equipment or technology deficiencies, rare security protocol failures that could affect your medical information privacy, and the possibility that incomplete access to your full medical records could result in adverse drug interactions or allergic reactions.

The company’s weight loss consumer bill of rights disclosures include a warning about rapid weight loss, defining it as weight loss exceeding 1.5 to 2 pounds per week, or more than 1 percent of body weight per week after the second week of participation. Consumers are advised to consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any weight loss program.

GLP-1 receptor agonist medications, including tirzepatide formulations, also carry known class-level side effects that you should discuss thoroughly with your prescribing clinician. Medication prescriptions are always at the discretion of the medical provider and may not be suitable for everyone.

What Consumers Commonly Verify Before Enrolling

Consumers conducting due diligence often review the following:

Business registration verification is a straightforward starting point. MEDVi, LLC is identified as a Delaware corporation with a registered address at 131 Continental Dr, Ste 305, Newark, DE 19713. You can verify this registration through the Delaware Division of Corporations public records.

Medical provider licensing is another critical area. The company identifies its affiliated medical provider networks on its website. You can verify the licensing status of individual prescribing clinicians through their respective state medical boards, which maintain publicly searchable databases.

Independent reviews across multiple platforms provide additional data points. Rather than relying on any single source, consumers can evaluate the company’s standing across several independent review platforms and pay attention to both recency and patterns in the feedback.

Terms and refund policy deserve a careful read before you enter payment information. At the time of this writing, the company’s refund policy states that consumers may be eligible for a refund — minus the stated consultation fee outlined in the company’s published refund policy — if they can demonstrate they have not lost weight after following the program for a minimum of five months. Medical consultation fees are separately stated as non-refundable. You should also be aware of the mandatory arbitration provision and class action waiver included in the company’s terms and conditions.

Finally, evaluate the thoroughness of the screening and intake process itself. The quality of any telehealth-based medical evaluation depends on how comprehensively your medical history is reviewed and how substantive the clinical assessment actually is.

How Compounded GLP-1 Telehealth Programs Compare to Other Models

If you are weighing your options, it helps to understand how this type of program fits within the broader landscape of GLP-1 weight management models available today.

Telehealth platforms versus in-person clinical settings represent the primary structural difference. Telehealth models offer accessibility and convenience, particularly if you live in an area with limited specialist availability. In-person settings may provide more comprehensive physical examinations and hands-on diagnostic capabilities. Both models require licensed prescribers to make independent clinical judgments about your care.

Compounded formulations versus FDA-approved branded products represent a meaningful regulatory distinction. FDA-approved tirzepatide and semaglutide products have been through extensive clinical trial processes with published safety and efficacy data. Compounded formulations are produced under regulatory oversight but are not individually evaluated by the FDA as finished products. The cost difference between these two pathways is often substantial, and that price gap is frequently a driving factor in consumer decision-making.

MEDVi also operates programs across multiple telehealth categories beyond weight management. For example, the company offers compounded telehealth programs in other health areas, including men’s health. If you are evaluating MEDVi as a platform overall, you may want to review how the company structures its programs across different categories. An independent informational overview of MEDVi’s compounded ED telehealth program provides additional context on the company’s broader telehealth model and regulatory positioning.

Subscription-based telehealth models versus traditional prescription pathways differ in how costs are structured. Subscription models like MEDVi’s typically bundle platform fees, consultation costs, and medication into a single recurring payment. Traditional pathways may involve separate charges for office visits, prescriptions, and pharmacy costs, with the potential for insurance coverage when FDA-approved medications are prescribed.

Evidence Boundaries

This section matters more than most people realize, and understanding it will help you evaluate any compounded GLP-1 program with clearer eyes — not just this one.

Tirzepatide as an active pharmaceutical ingredient has been studied extensively in published clinical trials. That research has demonstrated efficacy for weight management and glycemic control in specific study populations under controlled conditions. However, those studies were conducted using FDA-approved manufactured formulations with standardized dosing, quality controls, and regulatory oversight of the finished product.

Compounded formulations containing tirzepatide have not been independently studied in the same way. While the active ingredient is the same, compounded preparations may differ in formulation, concentration, bioavailability, stability, and other pharmacological characteristics from the branded versions used in clinical trials. The clinical evidence supporting tirzepatide’s efficacy applies specifically to the manufactured versions that were studied — not to compounded preparations.

The company’s own disclosures reinforce this boundary clearly, stating that no data, photos, claims, or other information on its website are associated with results from clinical trials, studies, or public research. All represented outcomes are described as coming from MEDVi patient experience based on self-reported data.

Summary of Key Considerations

The following summarizes key structural and regulatory considerations. MEDVi operates as a telehealth patient management platform that connects you with affiliated independent medical providers who may prescribe compounded GLP-1 medications, including tirzepatide formulations, if they determine it is clinically appropriate for your situation. The platform, the clinicians, and the pharmacy are separate entities with distinct roles and responsibilities.

The compounded medications available through the program are produced in facilities operating under applicable federal and state compounding regulations, but they are not FDA-approved finished products. That distinction carries meaningful implications for how consumers evaluate the safety, efficacy, and quality assurances associated with the medication received. This classification should be weighed against individual health circumstances, goals, and risk tolerance.

Pricing starts at $179 for the first month with refills at $299, with all services operating on a cash-pay, out-of-network basis. The program auto-renews, and the refund policy includes specific conditions and timeframes that you should review carefully before enrollment. Individual results vary based on program adherence, clinician recommendations, and your body’s individual response.

Readers seeking additional information may review the company’s official website, examine full terms and conditions, and consult with their healthcare provider before making decisions regarding prescription weight loss treatment.

An informational overview of publicly available disclosures, regulatory context, and verification steps consumers commonly review before starting compounded erectile dysfunction treatment through telehealth.

NEWARK, DE, Feb. 25, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Disclaimer: This article is for informational purposes only. It is not medical advice. Erectile dysfunction concerns should be evaluated by a qualified healthcare professional. MEDVi QUAD is a compounded prescription medication that requires evaluation by a licensed clinician. Prescription approval is not guaranteed. This content does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you purchase through links in this article, a commission may be earned at no additional cost to you. The publisher maintains a separate commercial relationship with the brand. This compensation does not influence the accuracy or integrity of the information presented.

As interest in prescription erectile dysfunction treatment through telehealth platforms continues to expand in 2026, many consumers encounter multi-ingredient compounded options alongside traditional single-ingredient prescriptions. One formulation that comes up frequently in that research process is MEDVi QUAD — a compounded prescription combining four active pharmaceutical ingredients into a single sublingual liquid.

Considering MEDVi QUAD in 2026? Read This Before Enrolling in Any Compounded ED Telehealth Program

Before enrolling in any compounded ED telehealth program, there are regulatory, clinical, and platform-level details worth understanding clearly. This article covers those details — not as a recommendation, but as the kind of informed overview that helps you ask the right questions and verify the right information before making a decision that involves your health.

This article is independently prepared based on publicly available information and does not represent official statements issued by MEDVi, LLC.

What This Product Is: Regulatory Classification First

This is the most important starting point, and it deserves careful reading regardless of which compounded ED product you may be considering.

MEDVi QUAD is a compounded prescription medication prepared by a licensed pharmacy based on an individual prescription. Compounded medications are not reviewed or approved by the FDA as finished products. They are prepared using active ingredients sourced from FDA-registered facilities under the direction of a prescribing clinician.

The individual active ingredients in the QUAD formulation — sildenafil, tadalafil, and vardenafil — are each FDA-approved as standalone medications for erectile dysfunction. You would recognize them by their brand names: Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. The fourth ingredient, apomorphine, is FDA-approved for other indications and is commonly prescribed off-label in the context of sexual health, where clinical research has explored its effects on arousal through central nervous system pathways.

Here is the key distinction: while each ingredient carries its own body of FDA-approved research, the specific 4-in-1 compounded combination has not been individually reviewed or approved by the FDA as a finished product. This is how compounding works across the pharmaceutical industry — it is a long-established, regulated practice, but it operates under a different regulatory framework than FDA-approved drugs. Understanding this distinction is essential before evaluating any compounded formulation.

What Compounded Medication Means Under FDA Framework

If you are researching compounded ED treatments for the first time, you probably have questions about what “compounded” actually means in a regulatory context.

The regulatory difference from FDA-approved drugs is specific: FDA-approved medications undergo clinical trials evaluating the finished product’s safety and efficacy as a complete formulation. Compounded medications use FDA-approved active ingredients but are not required to undergo separate clinical trials for the specific compounded combination.

This does not mean compounded medications are unregulated or unsafe. It means the regulatory pathway is different, and consumers should be aware of that difference when making informed decisions about their treatment options. For additional context on how the QUAD prescription model and compounded medication protocols work within MEDVi’s telehealth framework, a previously published informational overview examining QUAD’s service disclosures provides further background.

How the Telehealth Structure Works: Platform, Clinician, and Pharmacy

One of the most common points of confusion with telehealth prescription services is understanding who actually does what. With MEDVi QUAD — and with most telehealth prescription platforms — there are three separate entities involved, and knowing the distinction between them matters more than most people realize.

MEDVi (MEDVi, LLC) operates as the telehealth platform. According to the company’s published terms of use, MEDVi itself is not a healthcare provider. The platform provides the technology infrastructure, customer service, and coordination that facilitates the telehealth experience. MEDVi does not diagnose conditions, write prescriptions, or make clinical treatment decisions.

Licensed Medical Providers are independent healthcare professionals who review patient-submitted medical information and independently determine whether a prescription is clinically appropriate. According to the company, these are US-licensed physicians. The platform cannot guarantee that any individual will receive a prescription — that determination rests entirely with the evaluating clinician based on individual medical history, current medications, and contraindications.

Licensed Partner Pharmacies compound and dispense medications based on prescriptions written by the independent medical providers. According to the company’s disclosures, MEDVi is partnered with multiple USA certified pharmacies. The company also states that its team meets regularly with pharmacy partners to discuss product quality, shipping timelines, and medication testing.

This three-entity structure — platform, prescriber, pharmacy — is standard across telehealth prescription services. It exists to maintain appropriate separation between technology facilitation, clinical judgment, and pharmaceutical dispensing.

What the Formulation Contains

According to the official MEDVi QUAD website, the formulation combines four active pharmaceutical ingredients:

Sildenafil — the active ingredient in Viagra, FDA-approved for erectile dysfunction. The company describes this component as providing peak erectile response strength within the formulation.

Tadalafil — the active ingredient in Cialis, FDA-approved for erectile dysfunction. The company describes this component as providing an extended response window.

Vardenafil — the active ingredient in Levitra, FDA-approved for erectile dysfunction. The company describes this component as providing rapid onset characteristics.

Apomorphine — a dopamine agonist FDA-approved for other indications. The company describes this component as addressing the desire and arousal dimension of sexual function through central nervous system pathways. Apomorphine is commonly prescribed off-label in this context.

Important research boundary: Each of these active ingredients has its own published clinical research base as a standalone medication. However, the specific 4-in-1 compounded combination that constitutes QUAD as a finished product has not been clinically studied as a combined formulation. Individual ingredient research does not automatically transfer to the combined product. The evaluating clinician determines whether this combination approach is appropriate based on individual health factors.

Delivery Method Claims

According to the company, QUAD is formulated as a sublingual liquid — meaning you place it under the tongue rather than swallowing a traditional pill. The company states this delivery method bypasses the digestive system and liver (first-pass metabolism), which they describe as allowing the medication to reach the bloodstream faster than traditional oral pills.

MEDVi markets an onset window as fast as 10–15 minutes for some users; individual response may vary based on physiology, dosage, and other individual factors. The company also states that sublingual absorption may be less affected by food intake compared to traditional oral ED medications, which often carry empty-stomach recommendations.

The company references tadalafil’s extended response window of up to 36 hours in certain patients, which is consistent with the known pharmacokinetic profile of tadalafil as an individual ingredient. Whether this timeline applies equivalently within the QUAD compounded formulation has not been separately studied; prescribing clinicians determine appropriateness based on individual patient factors.

These are the company’s stated characteristics of their delivery format. Individual absorption rates, onset times, and duration may vary. The prescribing clinician determines whether this delivery method is appropriate for each patient.

Pricing Disclosures

According to the official MEDVi QUAD website at the time of this publication, here is what the pricing looks like:

QUAD is listed at a starting price of $119 per month. The company also lists a previous or reference price of $199 per month. According to the company, this pricing includes the physician consultation, shipping, and access to 24/7 medical support.

The company also states that multi-month options are available. Pricing, terms, and promotional offers are subject to change. Always verify current pricing directly on the official website before making any enrollment decision.

Insurance and payment context: According to MEDVi’s published terms, the platform operates as a cash-pay service outside insurance networks. The company’s terms state that MEDVi-affiliated medical professional entities are not contracted healthcare providers with any health insurance plans. Many direct-to-consumer prescription products are not covered by traditional insurance plans, but coverage policies vary. Always confirm benefits directly with your insurer. Some HSA/FSA plans may reimburse qualifying expenses; check your specific plan rules.

Refund terms: According to the company’s published terms, medical consult fees are not subject to refund. The company states that prescription products cannot be returned for reuse or resale, and all sales are final. The company also references a conditional refund policy related to their weight loss program; verify whether similar terms apply to QUAD specifically by reviewing current terms on the official website or contacting customer support before enrolling.

Safety and Contraindications Overview

MEDVi QUAD contains prescription-strength active pharmaceutical ingredients. Like all prescription medications, these ingredients have known risks, contraindications, and potential side effects, and appropriateness must be determined by a licensed clinician. The following points are a high-level overview, not a complete list of risks or precautions.

Multiple PDE5 Inhibitors: Sildenafil, tadalafil, and vardenafil are all PDE5 inhibitors. The decision to combine three PDE5 inhibitors in a single formulation is a clinical determination made by the prescribing physician based on individual patient factors. This combination approach requires careful dose calibration and physician oversight.

Cardiovascular Considerations: PDE5 inhibitors affect vascular function and blood pressure. Patients with cardiovascular conditions, those taking blood pressure medications, or those with a history of heart disease should disclose this information fully during intake. PDE5 inhibitors are contraindicated with nitrate medications — this is an absolute contraindication that applies to all PDE5 inhibitors individually and would apply to any combination.

Apomorphine Considerations: Apomorphine may cause nausea, dizziness, or drowsiness in some individuals. These effects are typically dose-dependent and may be more noticeable during initial use.

Common Side Effects: Based on the known profiles of the individual ingredients, potential side effects may include headache, flushing, nasal congestion, dizziness, visual changes, and digestive discomfort. Side effects may vary by individual and are influenced by dosing as determined by the prescribing clinician.

Eligibility: According to the company’s terms, the platform is intended for adults 18 and older. Individuals currently taking nitrate medications, those with certain cardiovascular conditions, and those with contraindications to any of the four active ingredients should not use this formulation. The medical evaluation process is designed to screen for these contraindications — but patients must provide complete and accurate medical history for this screening to be effective.

This overview is not exhaustive and does not replace the Patient Drug Education or official prescribing information. Always review the full safety information that comes with your prescription and consult your prescriber or pharmacist with any questions.

What Consumers Commonly Verify Before Enrolling

For any telehealth platform offering compounded prescription medications, independent verification is a reasonable step before enrolling. Here is what consumers commonly check — and how to do it:

Business Registration: MEDVi, LLC is registered as a limited liability company in Delaware, according to the company’s published disclosures. Registration status can be confirmed through the Delaware Division of Corporations public database.

Physical Business Address: According to the company, MEDVi operates from 131 Continental Dr. Ste 305, Newark, DE 19713. A verifiable physical address is a baseline legitimacy indicator.

Prescriber Licensing: Patients have the right to verify that their prescribing clinician holds an active medical license in the relevant state. State medical board licensing databases are publicly accessible and searchable.

Pharmacy Licensing: According to the company’s disclosures, MEDVi is partnered with multiple USA certified pharmacies. Consumers can request the names of dispensing pharmacies and verify their licensing status through the relevant state pharmacy board databases.

Published Reviews: According to the company’s website, MEDVi references customer ratings on TrustPilot. Consumers can verify the current rating directly on TrustPilot’s independent platform. As with all published reviews, readers should be aware that review platforms reflect self-selected feedback — satisfied customers are typically more likely to post reviews than those with neutral or negative experiences.

Terms and Refund Policies: Before submitting any personal health information or payment, review the company’s published Terms and Conditions, Refund Policy, and Medical Consent documents. These are available on the official website.

Contraindication Disclosure: Verify that the intake process asks about nitrate use, cardiovascular history, current medications, and other relevant contraindications. A thorough medical screening process is a positive indicator of clinical rigor.

How This Category Compares to Other ED Treatment Models

Telehealth ED services generally fall into three models. Knowing the differences helps you evaluate which approach fits your medical needs, preferences, and comfort level:

Single-Ingredient Telehealth Prescriptions: Many telehealth platforms prescribe individual FDA-approved ED medications — sildenafil alone, tadalafil alone, or vardenafil alone. These are typically FDA-approved generics dispensed through traditional pharmacy channels. The regulatory framework is FDA approval of the finished product. The limitation is that each addresses erectile function through a single mechanism.

Multi-Ingredient Compounded Prescriptions: Platforms offering compounded formulations combine multiple active ingredients into a single dose. The regulatory framework is pharmacy compounding under state and federal rules, using FDA-approved active ingredients. The finished combination is not separately FDA-approved. This model requires physician determination that the combination approach is appropriate for the individual patient.

Traditional In-Person Prescribing: Urologists and primary care physicians prescribe ED medications after in-person physical examination, diagnostic testing, and face-to-face consultation. This provides the most comprehensive clinical evaluation and direct physician-patient relationship. The tradeoffs include scheduling requirements, travel, and in-person pharmacy interaction.

Each model involves different tradeoffs around regulatory framework, clinical oversight intensity, convenience, cost, and the nature of the physician-patient interaction. People evaluating compounded ED telehealth services often weigh these factors based on their individual medical situation, personal preferences, and treatment goals. For broader context on how MEDVi’s telehealth platform operates across prescription categories, a separate informational analysis examining MEDVi’s GLP-1 telehealth model provides additional platform-level background.

Evidence Boundaries: What Has and Has Not Been Studied

Being transparent about what the evidence does and does not support is part of making an informed decision. Here is where the research boundaries stand:

What has been studied: Each of the four active ingredients in QUAD — sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil, and apomorphine — has its own body of published clinical research. PDE5 inhibitors are among the most extensively studied classes of medications for erectile dysfunction. Apomorphine has been studied for its effects on sexual arousal through dopaminergic pathways.

What has not been studied: The specific 4-in-1 combination of sildenafil + tadalafil + vardenafil + apomorphine as a single compounded formulation has not been evaluated in published clinical trials as a combined product. There are no published studies comparing the QUAD combination against individual PDE5 inhibitors or against other compounded ED formulations.

What this means practically: The prescribing clinician is making a clinical judgment that combining these ingredients at the prescribed dosages is appropriate for the individual patient, based on the ingredient-level research, the patient’s medical profile, and established compounding practices. This is a standard aspect of prescription compounding — but consumers should be aware of the evidence boundaries.

Summary of Key Considerations

For anyone evaluating MEDVi QUAD or any compounded ED telehealth program in 2026, here is a summary of the key factors this article has covered:

Regulatory framework: QUAD is a compounded prescription medication. Compounded medications are legal and regulated but are not FDA-approved as finished products. Understanding this distinction is essential.

Clinical structure: The platform, prescribing clinicians, and dispensing pharmacies are three separate entities. Prescription approval is not guaranteed and depends entirely on the independent clinician’s medical judgment.

Evidence boundaries: Individual ingredients are well-researched. The specific 4-in-1 combination has not been studied as a combined formulation.

Safety profile: Multiple PDE5 inhibitors in a single formulation require careful physician oversight and accurate patient disclosure. Nitrate medications are a known contraindication for all PDE5 inhibitors and should be disclosed during medical screening.

Verification steps: Business registration, prescriber licensing, pharmacy licensing, published terms, and review platform ratings are all independently verifiable before enrolling.

Important Note: The prescription telehealth and compounded medication industries have been under increased regulatory scrutiny in recent years. Patients should review the most current information about any platform’s compliance, regulatory standing, and pharmacy partnerships before proceeding with treatment.

ACTG Announces Publication of STOMP Results in the New England Journal of Medicine

Study findings do not support routine use of tecovirimat in people with mpox

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Feb. 25, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — ACTG, a global clinical trials network focused on HIV and other infectious diseases, today announced the publication of “Tecovirimat for the Treatment of Mpox (STOMP)” in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). The publication reports on results from STOMP (Study of Tecovirimat for Mpox, also known as A5418) that demonstrated that tecovirimat did not improve mpox resolution. STOMP stopped enrolling participants in December 2024 after an interim analysis showed that the treatment did not reduce the time to lesion resolution or have an effect on pain among outpatient adults with clade II mpox.

“This publication reminds us of the importance of randomized clinical trials – tecovirimat was widely expected by the scientific community to be an effective treatment for mpox and it was only through STOMP that we were able to conclusively demonstrate that it is not,” said ACTG Chair Joseph J. Eron, M.D., University of North Carolina. “Given that mpox continues to be a global health issue, these findings highlight the urgent need to conduct randomized controlled trials to identify safe and effective therapeutics for mpox and other orthopoxviruses.”

STOMP was a phase 3, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind trial evaluating the safety and efficacy of tecovirimat for the treatment of mpox. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved tecovirimat (SIGA Technologies, Inc.) to treat smallpox, based on its activity in animal models (since smallpox has been eradicated), but prior to STOMP it was not known if it could effectively or safely treat mpox in humans. ACTG launched STOMP in September 2022 in response to a global outbreak of mpox that was characterized by increased person-to-person transmission. STOMP enrolled participants who had symptoms of mpox for less than 14 days and randomized them to receive either tecovirimat (600 mg) or a placebo twice daily for 14 days. Participants with or at risk for severe disease, pregnant women, and children were enrolled in an open-label arm in which everyone received tecovirimat.

STOMP randomized 412 eligible participants to tecovirimat (275) or placebo (137) at 49 sites in seven countries (United States, Peru, Mexico, Thailand, Argentina, Japan, and Brazil). A total of 344 participants had laboratory-confirmed mpox and 336 had at least one active skin or mucosal lesion and were included in the primary analysis. Those participating in STOMP broadly represented the population of people who were most affected by mpox during the 2022-2023 outbreak; the median age was 34 years, 99 percent were male, 52 percent were White, 13 percent were Black, 44 percent were Hispanic, and 23 percent had received at least one dose of an mpox vaccine. Of 337 participants whose HIV status was known, 35 percent were living with HIV.

By day 29, 79 percent of participants in the tecovirimat group had experienced clinical resolution of their symptoms (defined as the first day all skin lesions were scabbed or healed and visible mucosal lesions were healed), compared to 81 percent in the placebo group. There were no differences in pain reduction among those with severe pain, complete lesion healing, or clearance of viral DNA. Adverse events were similar between arms.

“STOMP was designed by ACTG to rapidly assess the efficacy of tecovirimat for clade II mpox in the face of a growing public health emergency,” said Protocol Chair Timothy Wilkin, M.D., M.P.H., University of California San Diego. “While the results may not be what the community had hoped for, they provide important insights into our understanding of mpox and its treatment and encourage us to continue looking for a safe and effective treatment.”

STOMP was led by Dr. Wilkin and William Fischer, M.D., UNC and Jason Zucker, M.D., Columbia University (Vice Chairs). ACTG is led by Dr. Eron and Rajesh T. Gandhi, M.D., Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School (ACTG Vice Chair). It is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID, which also funds ACTG) under award numbers UM1 AI068636, UM1 AI107716, and UM1 AI068634.
