eBioscience – immunology reagents

eBioscience

Using our broad portfolio of reliable antibodies and its strong expertise in immunology, eBioscience developed MagniSort technology, a column-free magnetic separation platform for cell enrichment. MagniSort is simpler, faster, and offers significant cost-savings compared to column-based separation methods.

ELISA (Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays) are routinely used for the quantitative assessment of chemokines, cytokines, growth factors, and other immunological markers. eBioscience developed a sandwich immunoassay technique of two highly specific antibodies recognizing two different epitopes on the same protein. This technique provides an extra layer of specificity over competitive ELISA formats that employ only the use of a single antibody.

Detecting protein in tissues can be achieved by Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Immunocytochemistry (ICC). Target antigens are evaluated using specific antibodies directly conjugated with enzyme or fluorophore-conjugated antibodies, or indirectly using labeled secondary antibodies and reagents. eBioscience proposes products which are quality-validated for their use in Fluoresence Microscopy. Furthermore, eBioscience also proposes to create your own eFluor labeled reagents if they are not commercially available.

PrimeFlow RNA Assay reveals the dynamics of protein and RNA expression in single-cell analysis. This novel technology employs a proprietary Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization (FISH) technique allowing the simultaneous detection of up to three RNA transcripts in a single cell using a standard flow cytometer. PrimeFlow RNA Assay combines paired oligonucleotide probe design with branched DNA (bDNA) signal amplification to robustly detect gene expression at the single-cell level. RNA detection can also be used together with intracellular and cell surface antibody staining to understand single cell dynamics.

QuantiGene is a signal amplification technology used for the quantitation of gene expression transcripts. Four different QuantiGene assays are available: QuantiGene 2.0 and QuantiGene Plex assays are designed to quantitatively measure RNA directly from cell or tissue homogenates without RNA purification; while RNA Flow and QGView are in situ based assays measuring or visualizing RNA directly in the cells.

Established in San Diego (USA) in 1999, eBioscience is now a world leader in immunology and oncology flow cytometry reagents, also present in UK, Germany, Austria, France, Poland, Switzerland, Netherlands and Belgium. eBioscience is now an Affymetrix company.
